Our laser safety enclosure reliably limits the spread of hazardous laser radiation and creates a controlled environment for laser processing – even with high laser classes and power levels. The materials used are certified according to EN 12254 and thus meet the safety requirements for shielding at laser workstations.

Upon request, we integrate safety circuits and interlock systems that automatically switch off the laser when doors or maintenance hatches are opened. This helps you reliably meet the requirements of your laser safety officer and the relevant guidelines.

Laser systems not only generate radiation, but often also noise, smoke, and fine particles. Therefore, we are pleased to offer the GEMAtech laser safety cabin as a complete system:

Sound insulation: Industrial sound insulation with a noise reduction of up to 45 dB through high-quality panels with a rock wool insulating core.
Fire protection: Panels with fire protection classification A2-s1, d0 according to DIN EN 13501-1 ensure high safety in case of fire.
Extraction: Optional integrated extraction technology reduces smoke, dust and fume gases directly in the process – for better air quality and clean optics.

For which applications are laser safety cabins suitable?

Laser safety enclosures are suitable wherever laser processes with open beam paths need to be safely contained – especially in high-performance systems operating continuously in industrial environments. Typical applications include laser cutting and welding, marking and engraving, surface treatment, and automated robotic cells with lasers.

Wherever employees work nearby or there are additional requirements for noise and emission protection, the cabin creates a clearly defined, safe laser work area.

Up to what laser power do you offer the laser safety cabin?

Our soundproof panels are approved for laser power outputs up to 2,5 kW. This allows for the safe enclosure and acoustic damping of many common laser processing operations. We would be happy to discuss whether your specific application falls within this power range.

Is there a certificate for the laser safety cabins?

The assessment of the specific suitability for use is generally carried out on-site by the operator or the responsible specialist personnel. This is because the requirements can vary significantly depending on the laser class, application, and environment. Based on our technical documentation, your laser safety officer can evaluate the suitability for the respective application.

Do you offer special safety circuits?

Yes, upon request, we can integrate special safety circuits into the laser safety cabins, such as interlock systems, emergency stop switches, or warning lights. These ensure that the laser is automatically switched off when doors or maintenance access points are opened, and that the operating status is clearly visible. Such safety features help you to better comply with internal regulations and relevant standards, and to make operations even safer for your employees.

Can an extraction system be integrated directly?

Yes. The combination of laser safety enclosure, soundproofing, and extraction technology is a typical application for us. Upon request, we plan and supply the complete solution from a single source, ensuring that dust, smoke, and fumes are captured directly during the process. If an extraction system is already in place, we integrate it and plan the necessary interfaces to match your existing technology.

Are the size and features of the laser safety cabin freely selectable?

The cabins are always planned on a project-specific basis. This means that dimensions, doors, gates, viewing windows, operator stations, and interfaces with the surrounding environment are tailored to your requirements. Features such as extraction connections, lighting, maintenance access, and transfer points for handling equipment can also be individually considered. This results in a laser safety cabin that integrates seamlessly into your production process, rather than the other way around.

What is the delivery time for your laser safety cabins?

The delivery time for our laser safety cabins is typically between 8 and 10 weeks. The exact duration depends on the project scope, the desired equipment options, and our current workload. You will receive a binding delivery date with your individual and free quote as soon as the scope and specifications of the cabin are finalized.
